mlb trading system

My perception of the MLB 2K8 trading card feature completely changed coming out of the conference call. Trading remember my original thought was it seemed like a feature made with the purpose of being used for promotion of the game and that it would end up as little more than a gimmick. That was probably due in part to the lame Madden cards of years past. However after coming to mlb realization that they are essentially an extension of Xbox Live achievements I started to understand the appeal. Then thinking of the online possibilities with creating your own card teams while trading limited by a salary cap based on the tiers I started to get really excited. Gamespot has posted a preview of the trading card system with SportsGamer going into more details. Let me know if you guys might be interested in something like that. This does not look interesting at all. It is about the real game not some gimmicky baseball card trading feature. I hate to say this but for the first time ever in my video game life Trading am going to have to pass on purchasing a baseball game this year. Hopefully EA can get this license back and make the good baseball game we all knew mlb loved with the MVP series. This mode is taking away time the developers trading to make the gameplay better. They had alot of bugs in 2k7 and if this game is flawed, this lame card system will be to blame. I guess some people will find enjoyment in it, but I wish they would have spent the time fine tuning the game instead of adding this. I think that the cards will be alright but I am really interested in the cards that unlock uniforms, stadiums and players. That sounds similar to the trading that you had to unlock those things in mvp I will probably try this card fantasy team thing but I am really in it for the extra content. Sounds like system will add alot of replay value to the game. As long as its really hard to build a amazing team with cards it will be fun…it everyone has the best players it could get lame. This card feature is not just buying cards and trading cards. You have to do player specific achievments to get that players cards. For example to get Johan Santanas card you have to get 17 strikeouts with Johan Santana. And with the cards you can have custom rosters online that are not just stacked with the best players because there is a salary cap I system they said it is like million. I think each player card salary is there actual contract salary. So Arod is taking up alot of payroll lol. I believe that Trading 08 The Show will be way better than MVP The Show series has a solid gameplay and the game gets improved year after year. This year installment is very promising and after playing the demo I think that this can be the best baseball game ever. I think it looks pretty cool. To that Chris fella, MVP feels old and tired, just trading NFL 2K5 feels now. It was good system its day, but it has been laid to rest. This card feature is taken straight out of All-Star Baseball. Yea if you had an Onine Card Team Play night id definantly join. I havent gotten to participate mlb any of the other games, because im not very interested in NFL Tour, and I vowed not to system buy an NBA Live game ever again. And I also think this feature will be VERY cool. It will make me play with guys on the Royals, Nats, and Marlins. Do you know if they plan on making any big differences in the out of the box update pasta? Mostly will just be the major transactions Santana and System trades. There should also be new cards Santana and Bedard likely. There are a few interesting things in each video. Firstly, there are definitely more foul balls which I am happy to see otherwise, the batting scheme seems nearly identical to last year. The feature I am most excited about is the pitching game with the analog stick. Seems to work pretty well in the videos. It will be nice have a little more interactivity to pitching besides pressing buttons. There are also a few nice animations in the field. NYM game there are two home runs hit early in the game. Mlb was really hoping that they fixed the all-to-frequent-homers from last year, but this remains to be seen. Keeping system fingers crossed. The new throwing mlb actually seems to delay the play on the field. I noticed that in the NYY v. NYM game there is a definite delay and possibly a jump or framerate skip whenever the meter is involved in a play. Right now, I only have abut MLB: The Show looks sooo good. Especially the RTTS 2. I might mlb to break down and get a PS3. I love my and when it comes down to it, I would always prefer to buy a game for as opposed to ps3. I am worried about buying a mlb for this game and it basically collecting dust and playing the occasional blu-ray for the rest of its life. And what can I say, I like the controller, the achievements, my xbox live crew…etc. I wonder how these would work, if you could just play against an opponent and set the controller down and get those 17Ks with Santana. The whole trading card system in this game seems like an afterthought. It reminds me of the old madden system. My favorite maddens were the last few they put out for the original xbox. It seemed like they had done all they could really do with gameplay and graphics at that point and then they started throwing in the card aspects just so that there would be an additional feature each year. However, for MLB 2K there still seems like there is some work to be done in the graphic and gameplay area. But otherwise, with the exception of this card feature, it appears as though we system going to be getting pretty much the same game from last year with a few less quirks. I was looking forward to more…. Please upgrade your browser to at least Internet Explorer 7 to properly view this website. MLB 2K8 trading card system mlb by pastapadre Posted February 24th, at 3: I am going to have to disagree with you Pasta. It reminds me of the horrible EA Ring system they started doing this year. I think this feature will be cool. I think it will be somewhat interesting for a few weeks and then it will be useless. The Show is promoting a feature which directly impacts the gameplay: Word Up metsfan55, Trading crazy.
